Privacy Policy

Gateway Scientific Inc. ("Gateway Scientific," "we," "us") provides pipette calibration and laboratory instrument service. This policy explains what information we collect through https://www.gatewayscientific.com, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

We keep this deliberately short and specific. If something here is unclear, call us at 856.885.3949 and we will explain it plainly.

Information you give us

The only information we ask for is what we need to quote and perform your service. When you submit a form on this site, we collect:

• Contact details — your name, work email address, phone number, organization, and job title.
• Location — the city, state, and postal code where your instruments are located, so we can confirm on-site coverage and schedule travel.
• Service details — the service type, plan tier, instrument counts, industry, timeline, and anything you tell us in the message field.
• Consent — a record that you agreed to be contacted about your request.

Fields marked optional are genuinely optional. Leaving them blank will not stop us from responding to you.

Information collected automatically

When you submit a form, we also record where the request came from: the page you submitted from, the referring website, and any campaign parameters in the URL (for example utm_source or utm_campaign). This tells us which of our efforts actually reach laboratories, and nothing more.

Our server keeps standard request logs, including IP addresses, for a short period. We use them to apply rate limits and to identify automated abuse of our forms.

How we use your information

We use what you send us to:

• Prepare and send you a written quote.
• Schedule, perform, and document calibration and repair services.
• Reply to questions and provide technical support.
• Maintain calibration records, certificates, and service history for your instruments.
• Send service reminders when a calibration interval is coming due, where you have asked for them.
• Meet our own record-keeping obligations under the quality standards we work to.

We do not use your information to build advertising profiles, and we do not run behavioral advertising on this site.

We do not sell your information

Gateway Scientific does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only in these situations:

• Service providers. We use a customer relationship management platform (GoHighLevel) to manage inquiries and service communications, and a hosted database provider to store submissions. These providers process data on our behalf, under contract, and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
• Legal obligation. Where we are required to disclose information by law, regulation, subpoena, or a lawful request from a government authority.
• Protecting our rights. Where disclosure is necessary to investigate suspected fraud, abuse of our systems, or a threat to the safety of any person.

Cookies and analytics

This site does not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels. Any cookies set are strictly functional — they support core behavior like form submission and basic security. Campaign parameters, when present, are read from the URL at the moment you submit a form; they are not stored in a cookie to follow you around the web.

How long we keep information

Quote requests and inquiries are retained for as long as we have an active or reasonably foreseeable business relationship with you, and then for a further period consistent with our record-keeping obligations.

Calibration records — certificates, as-found and as-left data, and service history — are retained longer, because your quality system and ours may need them for audit. If you need a specific retention period documented for your own procedures, tell us and we will confirm it in writing.

Security

Information submitted through this site is transmitted over an encrypted connection and stored in access-controlled systems. Our forms are rate-limited and screened for automated submissions.

No system is perfectly secure, and we will not claim otherwise. What we can tell you is that we collect the minimum we need, we limit who can see it internally, and we do not move it around unnecessarily.

Your choices

You may:

• Ask what we hold. Request a copy of the personal information we have about you.
• Correct it. Ask us to fix anything inaccurate or out of date.
• Ask us to delete it. We will delete what we are not required to retain for legal, contractual, or quality-record reasons, and we will tell you what we kept and why.
• Stop the emails. Unsubscribe from service reminders and marketing at any time, using the link in any such email or by contacting us. We will still send transactional messages about work in progress.

Children

This site is intended for laboratory and business use. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a minor has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes affecting how we use information already collected will be communicated directly to affected customers.
